The Queen's Ransom

Our friend John has had many crazy ideas for rides over the years. One of them was a big bikepacking loop that started at his house and hit some of the area's best trails. It started out with him and another guy and has grown so big he had to cap attendance this year. Getting the ride published on bikepacking.com helped. Nancy and I have done this loop twice before, but Nancy decided it was time to go again.

Usually I'd bring my camera and do a blog afterward. This time I decided to try to do a video diary of the ride - with my new GoPro. While I did get some good shots, I missed quite a bit due to battery issues. Also, I'm still learning the whole editing process - so keep expectations low. While there are some nice things about video, it is harder to do a complete narrative.

While I did this video thing a couple other folks did the traditional ride report. You can see many pictures and more detailed descriptions of the weekend from MikeJohn, and Evan
